The Alpine Trail 2 turns up the heat. RockShox's Zeb Select+ fork delivers 170mm of buttery-smooth travel up front, perfectly matched to the Vivid Air Select+ rear shock's custom-tuned damper – together they're fettled for our 160mm travel MultiTrac LT suspension platform.

The Horst-link design balances progression, support and suppleness. Whether you're railing berms, hunting for traction or just sending it to flat, the design's neutral predictability has your back.

SRAM's Eagle 70 Transmission has bombproof reliability and direct-mount simplicity – expect crisp shifts and minimal fuss. Maven Bronze four-piston brakes with 200mm rotors defy physics with epic stopping power. We’ve fitted a Maxxis Assegai MaxxGrip EXO+ tire up front and MaxxTerra DoubleDown Minion DHR II out back – traction and puncture protection are perfectly balanced for the longest rides. The X-Fusion Manic HC dropper post adjusts travel in 10mm increments – dial in your perfect fit.

It has the same Series 4 Aluminum frame as the range-topping XR – maximum enduro, zero compromises. It's built to go hard with optimized tube shapes, a redesigned rocker link and carefully engineered chainstays make it epically capable. Weather-sealed internal cable routing, SRAM's UDH, Boost axle spacing and ride-hushing chain slap protection are the premium touches your rides deserve. Integrated Bear Box downtube storage keeps trail essentials close without overloading your bag.

Mixed wheels – 29in up front, 27.5in out back – beautifully combine stability and agility, or run full 29in for the ultimate charger. Lock in your personal set-up with tunable geometry. Swap out the upper headset cup for ±0.75 degrees of adjustment – go slack for fast descents or steepen it up for tight tech. Chainstay flip chips adjust bottom bracket height and chainstay length.
