Accessibility statement for Marin Mountain Bikes, Inc. (“Marin”)

Last updated: January 8, 2025

Marin is making efforts to maintain and increase the accessibility of our website to ensure that people with disabilities have full and equal enjoyment of Marin’s online goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations. Accessibility is an ongoing priority, and we recognize that maintaining and improving the accessibility of our website is critical to providing a positive user experience for everyone.

Collaboration with external consultants

Marin has engaged the disability-led, accessibility consulting firm Easy Surf to guide our accessibility initiatives. Their team supports Marin by performing audits, conducting usability tests with people with disabilities, and providing recommendations, support and training.

Current status and future plans

  1. Ongoing remediation of existing website
    • Marin continues to identify and resolve accessibility barriers on our current website.
    • We are monitoring our site monthly for accessibility defects with Accessibility Cloud.
  2. New website build
    • Marin has begun building a new version of the website that will conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.
    • We are designing and developing the website with accessibility in mind from the start.
    • Once we have completed the website, we will conduct regular usability testing with people with disabilities who use assistive technologies, including screen readers, speech recognition, and magnification.
    • We will also maintain monthly automated scans on the new website once it is launched.

Training

  • Marin has begun offering accessibility training to customer service representatives and the team responsible for maintaining the website.
  • Additional training sessions will follow to ensure that relevant staff are equipped to create and update web content that aligns with accessibility best practices.
