The new Marin Alpine Trail Series 4 aluminum MultiTrac 2 LT frames feature mixed 29”/27.5” wheels, 170mm front and 160mm rear travel, and the utmost in adjustability. Riders can alter the head tube angle and bottom bracket/chain stay length, as well as run 29” rear wheels if desired. “Bear Box” downtube storage includes a zippered nylon bag to house trail essentials, and a 34.9mm seatpost increases strength and is compatible with the latest dropper posts.
 
While the Alpine Trail 1 is the starting point in the three-model lineup, we didn’t make any concessions regarding the spec. High-performance Fox suspension keeps you in control at all times, while a Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain transmits your power to the wheel. TRP’s Slate Evo 4-piston brakes feature 203mm rotors, keeping speed in check in a powerful, fade-free manner.

Shimano's Di2 wireless drivetrain delivers instant, precise shifts under load with zero cable drama. SRAM Maven Silver four-piston brakes with 200mm HSC rotors defy physics with epic stopping power. We've fitted Schwalbe’s groundbreaking Radial tires – Magic Mary sits up front and there’s an Albert out back. Traction and puncture protection are perfectly balanced for the longest rides. PNW's Loam dropper post with Range lever and Range handlebar are the premium touch this bike deserves. DT Swiss 370 hubs laced to M502 rims make for a wheelset built to last.

It's the best Series 4 Aluminum frame we've ever made – built to go hard with optimized tube shapes, a redesigned rocker link and carefully engineered chainstays make it epically capable. Weather-sealed internal cable routing, SRAM's UDH, Boost axle spacing and ride-hushing chain slap protection are the premium touches your rides deserve. Integrated Bear Box downtube storage keeps trail essentials close without overloading your bag.

Mixed wheels – 29in up front, 27.5in out back – beautifully combine stability and agility, or run full 29in for the ultimate charger. Lock in your personal set-up with tunable geometry. Swap out the upper headset cup for ±0.75 degrees of adjustment – go slack for fast descents or steepen it up for tight tech. Chainstay flip chips adjust bottom bracket height and chainstay length. Adjustable Geometry

With the integrated flip chips, adjustable headset and an aftermarket 29” rear wheel, Alpine Trail aluminum riders can select 12 unique configurations to run their bikes. These configurations allow the best fine-tuning of chassis to trail conditions available. Flip chips are easy to reconfigure trailside and easily done using a 6mm hex wrench, require no additional parts, and incorporate laser-etched graphics that indicate the position of the chips. The stock 27.5” rear wheel can be swapped out for a 29” rear wheel (not included) if desired, along with changing the position of the seatstay flip chips. Furthermore, the flip chips located at the seatstay pivots alter the bottom bracket height and chainstay length (low BB/long CS setting = 345/442mm, high BB/short CS setting = 352/435mm) so that riders can perfectly dial their bike in to match the terrain they are looking to conquer.
