What happens when you take two adventurous women, two Marin Headlands gravel bikes, and the coldest month of the year? The answer is simple: a trip MADE FOR FUN
Melanie Schautt (@livingintents) and Nore van Kersavond (@kersenpitkussentje) didn't let February's freezing temps stop them from embarking on a badass bikepacking mission, winter edition. Starting in Innsbruck, they pedaled 140km all the way to Merano — fully loaded with everything they needed strapped to their bikes: skis, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, and all the gear for a proper winter adventure.
They slept under a sky full of stars wrapped in their sleeping bags, bivouacked in the crisp mountain air, and spent a night tucked away in a cozy mountain hut. Along the way, they squeezed in not one but two ski tours — because why not earn those turns while you're at it?
And the fuel that kept them going? Five pizzas. No further questions.
This is bikepacking with no rules, no limits and plenty of WHY NOT? — Just two women proving that winter is not a reason to stay home.
